(1.) Linux is Free if you don't value your Time. (Remember, Time is more valuable than money.) Not every famous software is available for Linux. So, you have to search for it and waste your time on websites,forums,repositories etc, to look for the alternatives & again waste some more time to choose the one that gives a performance even matchable to the famous non-available ones to some extent. Hence a lot of time WASTED!! So, by the end of installation & integration etc steps of those less efficient, Not-so-famous alternative applications in your Linux computer, you might see the guy next to you doing the same the job with his Windows PC or Mac, might have even done the task which required that software & gone home.
